Oracle Data Without Oracle Topology

Using the Oracle Connector open the graphical source that was created during the Oracle Feature Registration process and included in the schema updated by the Cadastral Mapping Configuration Schema Wizard.

Extract Oracle data as you would normally with the Map Oracle connector. Because there is no Oracle topology layer extracted with the data, to make edits to the data with any Cadastral Mapping Configuration command you must first create a local topology layer. This is accomplished by first locking the extracted data and then place a fence around the data and use the menu command Cadastre > Topology > Create from Unassociated Boundaries (fence).

You are now able to edit the data with Cadastral Mapping Configuration commands and post back to Oracle.

CAUTION: You must lock data and run the command Cadastre > Topology > Create from Unassociated Boundaries (fence) every time you make a new extraction.
